295 of 638 schools in Ganjam achieves 100% result

Berhampur: As many as 295 of 638 schools in Ganjam achieved 100% results in the Annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination this time — highest in the state, according to Ajay Kumar Patra, district education officer.This time 304 students have achieved A-1 grade, the second highest in the state after Balasore (305), he said.Among them, Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Nilakantha Nagar, has achieved cent percent results for 34 years in a row, Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, Ramahari Nagar and Goshaninuagan, 25 years in a row and the one in Gajapati Nagar 20 years in a row.Also, all 12 students, including three girls, of Red Cross School for the Blind in Ganjam district passed the Annual HSC examination this year, said Priya Ranjan Mahakuda, principal. Two boys secured above 70% marks.While all 341 students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Nilakantha Nagar, have passed the HSC examination, 98 of them got A-1 grade with above 90% marks, said S Mohan Rao, school principal.Sumit Kumar Dash and Akita Sahu of the school achieved highest 582 out of 600 marks (97%). “I wanted to be a doctor,” said Sumit.Rao said the schoolteachers give extra coaching to the students, which is one of the reasons the school achieved cent percent results.Similarly all 124 students of Sishu Vidya Mandir, Ramhari Nagar, who appeared in the examination, have passed. Six of them got A-1 grade, the school sources said.At Sishu Vidya Mandir, Goshaninuagan, all 104 students have passed, said its principal Narayan Panda, adding of them, 18 scored A-1 grade.Sishu Vidya Mandir, Gajaapti Nagar’s all 74 students passed.
