Keonjhar: Two battery-operated scooters were gutted at Baladevjew Colony in Keonjhar town on Tuesday, triggering panic among electric vehicle users. Though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed, fire officials suspect a short circuit. According to house owner Akshay Pattanayak, a scooter parked on his premises suddenly caught fire around 2 pm. Another scooter parked nearby was also damaged.
