CM backs PM’s crisis-mitigation plan, says steps being taken to keep public informed

Bhubaneswar: The state govt, following the spirit of Team India and keeping the nation first, is ensuring that accurate information reaches every citizen, that supply of essential commodities remains uninterrupted, and attempts at hoarding or black marketing are strictly checked, said chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday night.“I urge all citizens to stay informed about the evolving situation, maintain patience, and avoid unnecessary purchases so that the system functions smoothly,” The CM wrote on X.Referring to the virtual meeting of chief ministers with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on crisis-mitigation strategies, Majhi said PM Modi expressed confidence that Team India would overcome emerging challenges, while stressing economic stability, proactive agricultural planning, and special focus on border and coastal states for shipping and essential supplies.“I convey my sincere appreciation to the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the govt of India for the timely excise duty cut on petroleum, a forward-looking step that puts citizens first and upholds the ‘Nation First’ principle,” Majhi wrote.He added that at a time when global disruptions continue to affect economies worldwide, the PM’s proactive leadership and sustained international engagements have strengthened India’s position, ensuring stability and safeguarding national priorities.
