Rourkela: A 36-year-old man was arrested in Sundargarh district on Sunday on the charges of raping, torturing and threatening a 30-year-old married woman. The woman lodged a complaint at the local police station late on Saturday night, alleging that the man, whom she knew for the last seven months, blackmailed her, threatening to commit suicide if she did not keep a physical relationship with him. He allegedly tortured her physically and mentally. The man also allegedly took her to different places and kept physical relationship with her forcibly. “We are further investigating the case,” said the inspector in charge of the police station.
