Koraput: In a major achievement for the healthcare sector in Koraput district, the district headquarters hospital (DHH), Jeypore, has received the prestigious LaQshya, MusQan and National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certifications.Official sources said on Wednesday while the LaQshya and MusQan certifications will remain valid for three years, the NQAS certification has been granted for one year. Thereafter, the hospital will undergo reassessment every six months to ensure continued compliance with quality standards.Hospital superintendent Akshay Rath expressed happiness over the achievement and credited the success to the dedicated efforts of doctors, patients and all healthcare staff of the hospital. “The recognition reflects the commitment of the entire team towards providing quality healthcare services. He also assured that the shortcomings identified during the assessment process would be addressed on a priority basis to further improve hospital services,” said Rath.“Receiving all three certifications in a single year is considered a rare accomplishment, making the achievement a matter of pride for the hospital and the district,” he added.A three-member assessment team comprising experts from Delhi, Kanpur and Telangana had visited the hospital in March to evaluate it for the three certifications.
