Bhubaneswar: The state govt on Friday transferred 17 Indian Forest Service officers and gave additional charges to three, replacing deputy director of Similipal Tiger Reserve (south division) and regional chief conservator of forests (RCCF) of Sambalpur circle.The new deputy director of Similipal south is Sumit Kumar Kar, who was divisional forest officer (DFO), Dhenkanal. He has been replaced by Lalit Kumar Patra. Besides, Athgarh, Koraput, Similipal (north), Balasore, Rourkela, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi (north) and Jeypore divisions have also got new DFOs.Samrat Gowda, who was the deputy director (south Similipal), has been posted as RCCF (Sambalpur circle), replacing T Ashok Kumar, who has been transferred as chief conservator of forests, Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA). Senior officer G Rajesh, who was the CAMPA chief conservator of forests, has been transferred as the nodal officer in the office of principal chief conservator of forests.M Pradeep Devidas is posted as the new deputy director of Nandankanan zoo.Sanjay Kumar Swain, RCCF (Angul circle), has been given an additional charge of the director of Odisha Forest Rangers College, as incumbent Sangram Keshari Behera has become the new director (commercial) of Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC).Jagnyadatta Pati, on his promotion to the rank of the conservator of forests, is allowed to remain in charge of RCCF, Koraput circle. P Arthanari, who is GM, OFDC, has been given the additional charge of RCCF, Bhubaneswar circle. Swayam Mallick has been transferred as special secretary, forest and environment department, with additional charge of conservator of forests, state silviculturist.
