Rourkela: A 25-year-old man was arrested by Lahunipada police in Bonai sub-division of Sundargarh district on Tuesday for allegedly beating his father to death with a wooden plank. The arrested man has been identified as Kishore Munda. The incident was preceded by a quarrel with his father Rama Munda (55) at their house at Barsuan Baunrkala village on Sunday night. On Monday night, deceased Rama’s second son Subharam went to Lahunipada police station and lodged FIR against his elder brother. Lahunipada police went to their house, seized Rama’s body and sent it to Bonai sub-divisional hospital. On Tuesday, the body was handed over to his family after autopsy, said Rameswar Singh, IIC, Lahunipada police station.
