Koraput: A 12-year-old boy was found hanging inside the school hostel in Nabarangpur district on Thursday morning. The deceased was staying in the hostel as a resident student, police sources said.According to sources, the boy returned to the hostel just two days prior to the incident. His body was found hanging from a ceiling on the hostel premises early in the morning. Umerkote police sent the body for postmortem.“While the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained, preliminary probe points towards a suspected case of suicide. Probe is on to determine the circumstances leading to the incident,” police said.Block education officer (Umerkote) Ishwar Majhi said the incident is believed to have taken place after midnight. “The hostel staff had seen him during their late-night rounds,” he said.
