Video: Moment Iranian missile slams into Jerusalem highway; seven injured

Video footage circulating on social media shows the moment an Iranian missile struck a highway in the Jerusalem area late on Sunday, leaving seven people injured and scattering debris across the road.According to Israel’s national fire service, “Jerusalem District firefighters are currently responding at an impact site located on a highway… in the Jerusalem region.” The statement added that, “according to medical authorities, seven injured people with varying degrees of severity have so far been evacuated from the site to receive medical treatment.”Israel’s emergency service, Magen David Adom, said it was treating a man in his 50s in moderate condition and five others who were lightly hurt. Medics were dispatched after reports of a ballistic missile impact on a road near the city. Footage from the scene shows a large crater gouged into the tarmac, a damaged car nearby and rubble strewn across multiple lanes.A series of loud blasts were heard over Jerusalem shortly after the Israeli military detected missiles launched from Iran. “A short while ago, the IDF identified missiles launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel,” the military said, adding that “defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat.”Police confirmed that officers were carrying out searches across the district following reports of projectiles and interceptor fragments falling in several locations. Military censorship rules prevented the media from disclosing the exact sites of impact. The strike comes amid an intensifying conflict between Israel, the United States and Iran. US President Donald Trump said the campaign against Tehran could last up to four weeks, describing it as “always been a four-week process” in remarks to the Daily Mail. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said air strikes on Tehran would escalate in the coming days.
