Rail service between Baramulla and Bannihal towns has been on hold as a preventive measure. It is due to the intense clashes erupted between a stone-pelting mob and the security forces at the gunfight site.
On Friday the security forces recovered the bodies of two terrorists. They were killed in a come across in Srinagar’s Khanmoh in Jammu and Kashmir.
A large collection of arms and other incriminating material has also been detained by the slain terrorists.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigations are going on.
On Thursday two terrorists were killed there along with three policemen. This also includes an SHO who injured in a gunfight that broke out on the outskirts of the Srinagar city.
The gunfight between the security forces and terrorists took place in Balhama area of Khonmoh in outskirts of Srinagar.
Four houses were damaged
Terrorists had attacked BJP leader, Muhammad Anwar Khan, and injured his security guard Bilal Ahmad after which they fled and took shelter in Balhama village.
Security personnel immediately surrounded the village and a gunfight started there. Four houses were damaged in the gunfight.
Later, after the firing stopped, searches were conducted to locate the bodies of two killed terrorists.
Authorities also announced the suspension of rail service between Baramulla and Banihal towns. As intense clashes erupted between a stone-pelting mob and the security forces at the gunfight site.
This is the precautionary measure taken by the authorities in order to keep away the civilians from the gunfight and clashes.
