This recently filed suit that names Iran and its MOIS involvement in the al-Qaeda’s 9/11 hijacking attack. This recently filed suits shows represents a long history of meetings among Iranian-linked fighters.
The lawsuit also claims that Iran, Lebanese militia Hezbollah, and al-Qaeda designed a group. This is to supervise a joint, anti-US movement of attacks.
Iran and Hezbollah have continued an inimical relationship with Saudi Arabia. It is majorly on its support for the military and the US.
Also, the 9/11 Commission, which was made for making a “full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the attacks also found no indication of Iranian support.
But it should be noticed that some hijackers traveled through Iran on their way to Afghanistan. It is deprived of their passports stamped. It is something which creates a doubt.

The accusers consider that this support sees the need to find Iran accountable in the attacks.
Also, Iran was ordered to pay families and a group of insurers $1.8bn in 2016. It is in a default judgment on the same case filed in 2011.Iran did not contest the case in a US court.

So, JASTA was deeply opposed by Saudi Arabia. The one which is involved in a costly and far-reaching petitioning campaign. The campaign is for blocking its passage.
