Healthy Indian Breakfast Recipes for Weight Loss –
In our India, we usually have heavy breakfast that is paratha with pickle or ‘sabzi’ (vegetable). But in actual, this is not helpful for you if you want to lose weight. That is why I’m sharing with you the ‘healthy Indian breakfast recipes for weight loss’ –
- Chana Dal Pancakes
Chana Dal (Split Bengal Gram) soaked and drained – 100 grams
Chopped Fenugreek – 100 grams
Chopped Spinach – 100 grams
Grated Carrots – 50 grams
Grated Ginger – 5 grams
Curd – 10 grams
Chopped green chillies – 2
Curry leaves – 5 twigs
Cooking Oil – 1-2 tablespoon
Salt – As per taste
Grind the soaked Chana dal to make a coarse paste.
Add green chillies, grated ginger, carrots, spinach and fenugreek leaves and salt to the Chana daal paste and mix.
Put tawa on the gas and pour a tablespoon of cooking oil in it. Then add a portion of the paste and allow it to cook on a slow flame.
After the base is firmly cooked, flip the pancake.
Pancake is ready.
Serve it hot with chillies chutney or mint chutney.
2. Oats and Urad Daal Idli
Rolled Oats – 250 gms,
Urad Dal – 50 gms,
Chana daal – 25 gms,
Ground ginger – 1 tablespoon,
Finely chopped green chilli – 3, 4,
Oil to cook – 2 tablespoons,
Salt – to taste,
Water – 1 ½ or 2 cups
Roast the oats till they are light brown.
Roast the daal also.
After the oats and daal get cooled, grind them together to make a powder in a grinder.
Add the water to the powder and mix well to get the batter of pouring consistency.
Add the ginger and green chillies to the batter.
You can also add grated carrots if you want.
Mix the batter well and add the salt according to your taste.
Cover the batter and keep it aside for 45 minutes to one hour for the fermentation of the batter.
Grease your idli moulds.
After the fermentation of the batter, fill the fermented batter into the Idli moulds.
Steam cook your Idli in the steamer for 8-10 minutes.
And your Oats and Urad daal Idlis are ready.
Serve it with Sambhar and Coconut chutney.
