Pardeep Singh won the silver medal in the 105-kg weightlifting event in the Commonwealth games 2018.
Mehuli Ghosh and Apurvi Chandela won the silver and bronze medal respectively in the women’s 10-meter air rifle event and lost the match against Martina Lindsay Veloso of Singapore in the Commonwealth games 2018.

Sathish Kumar Sivalingam won a Gold medal on Saturday for men’s 77-kg event in Commonwealth games 2018. He lifted the total weight of 317 kg (144 kg in Snatch and 173 kg in Clean-and-Jerk) in Men’s 77 kg weightlifting event and won the third gold medal for India.
This was his 2nd consecutive gold medal at Games as he won the gold in Glasgow event also held in 2014.
He defeated England’s Jack Oliver who scored the second position after the difficult clean-and-jerk round. Jack Oliver won silver for lifting the total weight of 312 kg while Francois Etoundi won Bronze for Australia with the total of 305 in the Gold Coast for Commonwealth games 2018.
In Hockey, the Indian women beat Malaysia by 4-1 in the Commonwealth games 2018.
India won by 5-0 in the Badminton event in the Commonwealth games 2018. Along with Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth and Ashwini Ponappa and N Sikki Reddy for the women’s doubles pair and Satwik Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty for men’s doubles pair and Pranaav Chopra and Sikki Reddy for the Mixed doubles pair, they did not lose a single game against Scotland.
Dipika Pallikal Karthik lost her Round of 16 match against England’s Alison Waters in the Commonwealth games 2018. While Joshna Chinappa won this round of 16 match by defeating Australian Tamika Saxby.
India’s male squash player Vikram Malhotra lost his match against Nick Matthew by 3-1 in the Commonwealth games 2018.
India’s male boxing player Naman Tanwar reached to quarterfinals by defeating Tanzania’s Haruna Mhandu in the category of 91 kg in the Commonwealth games 2018.
For the 46-49kg category, Indian boxer Amit Kumar also reached quarterfinals by defeating the Ghanian opponent.
